Culinary Hotel Awards celebrates the hotels in Scandinavia that put food and drink at the very heart of the guest experience – from unforgettable breakfasts and signature cocktails to world-class restaurants and sustainability efforts.

The awards are being rolled out across Sweden, Norway and Denmark, highlighting excellence across a wide range of categories. The first edition took place in Sweden on March 10, 2025, followed by Oslo on October 27, and a Copenhagen edition is planned for Q1 2026.

Each edition features around a dozen categories that honour both specific achievements – such as Best Breakfast or Best Wine Experience – and more holistic recognitions, like Interior Design and Sustainability. One of the most prestigious awards, Hotellens Hotell (“The Hotel of Hotels”), is voted on by leading F&B professionals in the industry.

The Culinary Hotel Awards are open to all types of hotels: large and small, urban and remote, boutique and branded. Participation is free of charge.

Behind the initiative is the Swedish food and hospitality publication Restaurangvärlden, also known for founding the Swedish Gastronomy Awards and the 360°Eat Guide. Categories and criteria are developed in collaboration with some of the region’s most respected hotels to ensure both relevance and integrity.

“Hotel dining deserves far more recognition than it gets today. We see amazing food experiences being created all over Scandinavia – not just in the cities, but in villages, mountain resorts and coastal destinations too.”

Pär Bergkvist, Editor-in-Chief of Restaurangvärlden and Chair of the Culinary Hotel Awards Jury
